About Me...
My name is Kathy "Kat" Kergaravat.
I have been a pet lover and caretaker for most of my life. I opened Berkshire Pet Pals, LLC in 2010 after spending more than 20 years as a nurse. While I loved working with and helping people, it was the animals that I enjoyed spending time with the most.
Before pet sitting became a "thing", I realized that there was a need in my own community for caring and experienced pet caregivers. Especially for those pets with special needs.
Berkshire Pet Pals, LLC was born out of a love of all pets and my devotion to providing the best care possible when their caretakers had to be away. It was a successful endeavor that I shared with my husband for more than 15 years.
Last year I got sick and had to close my business to focus on my own health and medical treatment. I underwent a grueling chemo regimen that left me with some serious side effects that I am still trying to manage.
I went over a year without any income and only minimal assistance from state and federal agencies. I have had no choice but to find a way to care for myself and my own pets financially. Kat's Cat Care was created as a TRIAL RUN to see if I am able to work and earn a living doing something that I love on a very limited scale.
I am still in the process of setting things up, so this site, my SM pages, and all that it encompasses are still under construction. It is an ongoing process and may take some time to complete. Please bear with me.
Assuming that things improve for me physically, I am hoping to expand services to include dog walking/hiking, private home boarding done in my home, possibly some daycare services, and/or some overnights in your home(the same services that were offered via Berkshire Pet Pals, LLC!).
I appreciate all of the support from my family, friends, and clients! I do not know if any of this would be possible without you.
I am looking forward to re-connecting with former clients and welcoming new members to the blended Berkshire Pet Pals and Kat's Cat Care families!
Thank-you for your ongoing support as I navigate this NEW NORMAL.
With Love and Gratitude,
Kathy
